Sharebee

Privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

This policy covers the data Sharebee uses when you connect a Facebook Page, Instagram account or LinkedIn profile or page through an app or service that works with Sharebee. We keep it as small as possible: we only use what is needed to publish your posts to your channels. The Dutch version is the original; this is a translation.

Who is responsible

Sharebee is a service of uniekwerk B.V. (Chamber of Commerce 65116453), Oudestraat 216M, 8261 CA Kampen, the Netherlands. You can reach us at info@uniekwerk.nl, which is also the address for all privacy questions and requests.

We distinguish between two kinds of data:

  • The connection itself: your Facebook or LinkedIn ID, the access tokens, the Pages and accounts you choose, and our logs. For this, uniekwerk B.V. is the data controller.
  • The content of the posts: text, images and the publishing time. These are determined by the service you work with, together with you. If that service belongs to another organisation, we process the content as a processor on behalf of that organisation, and that service's privacy policy applies to it.

What Sharebee does

Sharebee connects apps and online services to Facebook Pages and Instagram professional accounts. To connect, you log in with Facebook and give permission there. Facebook then gives us an access token. With that token we publish the posts that you or your organisation prepare in the service, to the Pages and accounts you chose yourself. The access token stays with us; the service you work with does not receive it.

LinkedIn works the same way. You log in with LinkedIn, give permission there and choose whether we publish to your personal profile, to LinkedIn pages you administer, or both.

We do not ask Facebook for your email address, friends list, personal timeline, Messenger conversations or any other data not listed in this table. We do not ask LinkedIn for your email address, connections, messages or other people's comments.

Legal basis

For the connection itself, the legal basis is the performance of the arrangement you make with us when you connect: you ask us to publish posts to your Pages, and this data is needed for that (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). If you connect on behalf of your employer or a client, the legal basis is our legitimate interest and that of the organisation in publishing the requested posts (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You also give Facebook or LinkedIn your consent for the permissions Sharebee requests; you can withdraw that consent there at any time.

For the content of the posts, the service you work with determines the legal basis; it is set out in that service's privacy policy. We keep technical logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping Sharebee secure and working.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell data and do not use it for advertising, profiling or training AI models.
  • We do not publish anything you or your organisation did not prepare or schedule.
  • We only use data we receive from Meta or LinkedIn for the purpose you gave permission for, and we comply with the Meta Platform Terms and the LinkedIn API terms, including how long we keep data.
  • We do not make decisions about you that are taken solely by a computer and have consequences for you.

Who we share data with

We only share data with parties we need to make Sharebee work:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram): to publish the posts. Meta's own privacy policy describes what Meta does with data.
  • LinkedIn: to publish the posts to your profile or page. LinkedIn's own privacy policy describes what LinkedIn does with data.
  • Our hosting and storage providers, such as Supabase and Cloudflare. They only process data on our instructions, under a data processing agreement.
  • The service you work with: it receives from us the name and ID of the chosen Pages and accounts, and the status and link of published posts, so you can see them there. That service does not receive the access tokens.

If data reaches a provider outside the European Economic Area, this only happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We only disclose data otherwise when the law requires us to.

How long we keep data

  • Access tokens and connection data: as long as the connection is active. If you disconnect, remove Sharebee in Facebook or LinkedIn, or the service you work with stops using Sharebee, we erase them within 30 days.
  • Data about published posts (ID, link, status): up to 12 months after publication, so you can see in the service what was published. After that we erase it.
  • Technical logs: 90 days.

Posts that are already on your Facebook Page, Instagram account or LinkedIn stay there until you remove them yourself. We do not manage those.

How we protect data

We store access tokens encrypted and they never leave our servers. All connections use https. Only people who need the data for their work can access it. If we discover a data breach that may affect you, we report it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority and, where necessary, to you.

Your rights

You may ask us which data we hold about you, and ask us to correct, erase, restrict or transfer it. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interest. Send your request to info@uniekwerk.nl. We respond within one month.

If you only want your connection data erased, you can do so without email: see data deletion.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, please let us know. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

Changes

If something changes in what Sharebee does, for example when we add a channel, we update this policy. The date of the latest change is always shown at the top. If a change is material to you, we let you know through the service you work with, or on this site.
